A Chapter of the Women's Bar Association of the State of New York (WBASNY)
The WWBA is now offering solo practitioners, firms and organizations the opportunity to advertise their employment openings on the WWBA website and in the WWBA Weekly Update emails, which are sent weekly to approximately 2000 individuals, including WWBA members and contacts.
The rates are as follows:
For WWBA members wishing to advertise an employment opportunity: $75 for the first month of advertising, and $50 for each succeeding month.
For non-WWBA members: $100 the first month, and $75, each succeeding month.
After registering, please send the employment advertisement to executivedirector@wwbany.org for acceptance. Once the advertisement is accepted, it will be placed on our website and Weekly Update emails for the period of one month. Please note that if you elect to post an advertisement through the WWBA, your advertisement must comply with all Federal and State employment laws, as well as the New York Rules of Professional Conduct uc Responsibility (RPC) with regard to your ethical and professional obligations.
Your monthly advertisement subscription will expire one month from the date the advertisement is posted. If you wish to extend the time the advertisement is placed, you must re-register using the "Renewal" ticket option.
If you have any questions, please contact executivedirector@wwbany.org.
*Registration is through the American Cancer Society. This event is not managed by the WWBA.

WCBA Attorney Well-Being Committee presents
Professional Responsibility and Well-Being: Addressing Mental Health and Substance Use in Law
The New York Lawyer Assistance Program (LAP) was established at the New York City Bar Association in 1999 to promote the mental health, well-being and professional competence of attorneys, judges, and law students in the five boroughs of NYC and Westchester. Confidentiality is the cornerstone LAP and is protected under Section 499 of the Judiciary Laws of 1983.
An essential part of LAP’s mission is to provide educational presentations about the higher-than-average-rates of mental health and substance use problems in the profession and how, if not addressed, a problem can lead to a lawyer’s inability to focus, make sound decisions and meet professional responsibilities, sometimes resulting in ethical problems. Today’s program will focus on how to avoid ethical conundrums and how LAP can be of assistance. Part of LAP’s mission is to eradicate the stigma that prevents members of the profession from seeking help.

It's that time of year volunteers! Hillside Food Outreach has again reached out to us to help! The pantry is in need of volunteers to move boxes of food from the shipping pallets to the storeroom. They have asked if we could bring a group to the warehouse on Friday November 7th at 5:30 PM to accomplish this task.
Please wear comfortable clothes and sneakers or boots. The Pantry is located at 325 W. Patent Road, Mount Kisco, NY.
If you put this address in your GPS, it will tell you to turn onto W. Patent Road--DON'T TURN, stay on Bedford Road and turn into the Service Entrance (just before or after W. Patent Road, depending on which direction you are coming from), that's where the entrance to the warehouse is. This is a very small parking lot so if you arrive and cannot find space to park in this lot, the church has given us permission to use their parking lot directly across Bedford Road.
Please RSVP to Lisa Denig at lisadenig@yahoo.com if you can help.
