By Laws
Co-chaired by Anna Georgiou and Beth A. Willensky. This committee is responsible for examining the by‑laws and proposing amendments thereto not inconsistent with the By‑Laws of the Women's Bar Association of the State of New York.
Corporate/Commercial
Chaired by Lisa M. Bluestein. This committee arranges programs for the development of knowledge and special information on corporate and commercial law.
Criminal Law
Co-chaired by Cynthia K. Dunne, Lisa Colosi Florio, the Honorable Sandra A. Forster and Audrey E. Stone. This committee arranges programs for the development of knowledge and special information on criminal law and focuses on the revision and interchange of ideas concerning criminal law.
Families, Children & The Courts
Co-chaired by the Honorable Alayne Katz, the Honorable Irene Ratner, Lauren B. Abramson and Shari R. Gordon. This committee arranges programs for the development of knowledge and special information about the law and procedures applicable in the Family Court and engages in the study, revision and interchange of ideas concerning the Family Court.
Grievance/Ethics Co-chaired by Hon. Janet M. DiFiore and Deborah A. Scalise. This committee advises members on subjects of professional ethics and the standards of conduct appropriate for attorneys. It also develops procedures for handling inquiries or complaints regarding the conduct of members inconsistent with the Code of Professional Responsibility.
Judicial Screening
Co-chaired by Loren I. Glassman and Janet A. Johnson. This committee interviews and rates proposed candidates for Supreme Court in the Ninth Judicial District and for the County Court, Family Court and Surrogate's Court in Westchester County.
Judiciary Co-chaired by the Honorable Sandra A. Forster and the Honorable Linda S. Jamieson. This committee arranges programs designed to further knowledge on the nature and responsibilities of the judiciary. The committee also endeavors to promote an increase in the numbers of women on the bench and to improve the administration of justice.
Lawyering & Parenting
Chaired by Virginia Clarke. This committee provides members with an opportunity to meet other attorneys in order to discuss problems, issues and topics of special interest to those combining the roles of lawyer and parent. The committee hosts lunch time seminars, which focus on the special needs of managing a household and a career. The committee is very proud of its creation of the “Family Friendly Award,” which recognizes a firm or company providing a policy of family friendliness. The award is given out at the WWBA Annual Dinner in June.
Legislation
Co-chaired by Joelle M. Burton, Sylvia Goldschmidt and Annette G. Hasapidis. This committee reviews proposed legislation and makes recommendations concerning such legislation to the Board of Directors, the membership, and the State Board.
Matrimonial Co-chaired by Kathleen Donelli, Lonya A. Gilbert and Patricia Hennessey. This committee arranges programs about matrimonial law and engages in the study, revision and interchange of ideas concerning matrimonial law.
Membership This committee maintains a list of members of this Chapter and also a list, as nearly accurate as may be, of all women eligible for membership in the geographic area served by the Chapter. This committee also invites and welcomes new WWBA members.
Networking
Co-chaired by Meredith A. Coleman and Jennifer Reinke. This committee provides members with an opportunity to meet other attorneys in an informal atmosphere in order to expand professional contacts, discuss legal problems with attorneys who have dealt with similar problems, and discuss topics of special interest to women attorneys.
New Lawyers
Co-chaired by Richard Gruenberger and Elizabeth Silleck. This committee arranges programs of interest to newly-admitted lawyers.
Placement
Co-chaired by Amy Gewirtz, Assoc. Dir., Alumni Counseling and Relations, Pace Law School and Rachel Littman, Pace Law School, Center for Career Development. This committee develops, promotes and presents career planning and development programs for members of the Chapter. In addition, it strives to encourage a strong exchange between Pace Law School, the Chapter, and the legal community with respect to employment opportunities.Back to top

Real Property Co-chaired by Jody Fay and Dale Siegel. This committee arranges programs for the development of knowledge and special information about real estate law and engages in the study, revision and interchange of ideas concerning real estate law.
Taxation
Chaired by Daniel Timins. This committee arranges programs for the development of knowledge and special information about taxation law and engages in the study, revision and interchange of ideas concerning taxation law.
Co-chaired by Nancy J. Rudolph and Karen J. Walsh. This Committee arranges programs about trusts and estates law and engages in the study, revision and the interchange of ideas concerning trusts and estates law.
