The Westchester Women’s Bar Association Foundation, Inc., the charitable arm of the Westchester Women’s Bar Association, was established to foster a better understanding of the law, the legal profession, and the role of women in society and the legal profession; to promote the fair and equal treatment of all people in society -- including in the workplace, schools and the courts; and to eliminate gender bias.

The Foundation also focuses on assisting women to overcome artificial barriers to advancement in the professions, business and government and supporting organizations which provide legal services to women who are disadvantaged -- not only by gender bias, but also by racial and ethnic discrimination and by their economic status.

TO HOST DELICIOUS FUNDRAISER
Wednesday, April 29, 5:30 - 8:00 pm

The WWBAF will be hosting its first major fundraiser on April 29, 2009.

The event will be An Evening of Culinary Delight at the home of Hon. Sondra M. Miller, 1 Douglas Lane, Larchmont.

Chef Brian Sutor, formerly a Chef at Le Bec Fin and Picholine, now Executive Chef at Simply Divine Catering and Judy Marlow, owner and manager of Simply Divine, will provide delicious food and entertainment. Chef Sutor will be doing a cooking exhibition in Judge Miller’s kitchen, and we’ll be feasting on hors d'oeuvres, desserts and drinking wine in an elegant setting with old and new friends from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m.

The cost is $250 per ticket, all but $100 of which is a tax deductible contribution to the fullest extent allowed by law.
