The success of the WWBA depends upon the volunteer efforts of its esteemed membership. If you are a member and are interested in becoming more involved in the WWBA, see below for a listing of current volunteer opportunities.
Awards The WWBA Awards Committee is responsible for nominating its members for various prestigious awards at the both the state and local level. Local honors include: Diversity Achievement Award, Family Friendly Employer Award, Karen Z. Bell Moderate Means Panel Award, and the Above the Bar Awards (co-sponsored with the Westchester County Business Journal). At the state level, WWBA members are routinely nominated for NYSBA and WBASNY awards.
Volunteers are needed to assist in the preparation and submission of nomination packets. Nomination deadlines vary based upon award, and thus volunteers are appreciated year-round. The Linda Wiley Memorial Golf & Tennis Outing The Linda Wiley Memorial Linda Wiley Memorial Golf and Tennis Outing offers: 1) nine-hole best ball of four format; 2) golf clinic; or 3) tennis clinic featuring 6:1 student/pro ratio. All events begin with brunch and end with a sumptuous cocktail hour and dinner, inclusive of raffle prizes!
Volunteers are needed to assist in the organization and publication of this event, as well as obtaining sponsorship and raffle prize donations. WWBA Newsletter The WWBA Newsletter is published monthly, September through June. December and January are included in a combined issue. The Newsletter contains substantive articles and publicizes membership events and is distributed to the WWBA’s 400 plus members. Volunteer(s) needed to serve as copy editor.
